## Description

Festival Hellenika is Adelaide’s annual multidisciplinary arts festival, dedicated to maintaining, developing, promoting and celebrating Hellenic connections in the arts and their diverse expressions in Australia. A project of the South Australian Council for the Greek Cultural Month Incorporated, the festival runs from March to May and explores Hellenism—the study of all things Greek—through cultural events and creative experiences.

Its program can include exhibitions, theatre, concerts, talks, lectures, films, workshops, music and dance performances. Festival Hellenika presents these activities as part of an ongoing exploration of Greek culture, identity and its place in Australian society. The festival aims to broaden horizons, challenge stereotypes, build connections, and encourage greater harmony and understanding.

Its featured theme, “Know Thyselfie,” draws on the ancient Greek maxim “Know thyself” to invite reflection on identity and the influences shaping it, including technology. Visitors can browse events, submit an event, register their interest, explore the festival gallery, or learn about opportunities to get involved and provide sponsorship.
