About

Description

The Fever Relief Fund is a charitable organization dedicated to giving back and creating life-changing experiences. Founded in 2010 by Akwasi Oppong, a native of Ghana and now a citizen of the United States, the Fever Relief Fund aims to improve the lives of children and women in both countries. Their flagship program, 'Project Kick', uses soccer as a vehicle to gather, impact, and transform the lives of children and their families.

Through after-school activities, mentoring, tutoring, and fostering good citizenship, Project Kick aims to make a lasting contribution in the lives of participating youth. In addition to Project Kick, the Fever Relief Fund operates several other projects, such as 'A Book In Hand', 'Change of Clothing', 'Project MD', and 'Project New Hope'. These initiatives focus on gathering discarded yet usable items, including clothing, books, athletic equipment, and medical supplies.

These items are then distributed in both the US and Ghana, bringing positive change to the lives of individuals in need. To date, the Fever Relief Fund has accomplished remarkable achievements, including the establishment of 20 libraries, clothing over 30,000 needy children, and donating medical supplies worth millions of dollars. Their goal is to raise $346,000 annually for their shipping program, ensuring that healthcare providers in Ghana receive vital supplies.

By connecting those who have with those who hope, the Fever Relief Fund is bridging the gap and making a difference in communities across the globe
