## Description

FFESSM Occitanie Pyrénées-Méditerranée is the regional committee of the French Federation of Underwater Sports and Studies, serving clubs and participants across the Occitanie Pyrénées-Méditerranée area. The association supports a broad range of aquatic and underwater activities, including scuba diving, freediving, fin swimming, open-water swimming, underwater hockey, spearfishing, target shooting, sport diving in pools, and cave diving. It also promotes underwater photography and video, marine environment and biology, and underwater archaeology.

The committee helps people discover activities and find local clubs and other structures. Through its regional and departmental commissions, it provides information, organizes training and events, and shares resources for divers, instructors, clubs, and enthusiasts. Its offerings include instructor and technical courses, first-aid-related training, photography and video workshops, environmental education, and specialist sessions such as rebreather training. The committee also provides cultural content, publications, media, and information on medical and safety matters. Based in Balma, it connects the region’s underwater sports community and supports participation across its many disciplines.
