## Description

The Funeral Furnishing Manufacturers' Association (FFMA), now recognized as the Funeral Suppliers’ Association (FSA), plays a vital role in the funeral and cremation industry by facilitating dialogue between manufacturers and governmental bodies. Established in 1939, the FFMA represents a broad spectrum of entities including coffin manufacturers, hearse producers, and funeral service suppliers, ensuring compliance with evolving legislation crucial to the sector.

The FSA advocates for its members by providing essential services, such as product accreditation through the FCMP (Funeral Coffin and Casket Testing Protocol), which guarantees that all products meet stringent safety and quality standards. Over the years, the association has successfully addressed numerous industry challenges, ensuring that funeral directors maintain access to necessary supplies during trying times, such as fuel shortages and environmental regulations.

In addition to accreditation, the FSA offers a range of member benefits, including access to industry news, collaborative forums, and support for navigating regulatory changes. By fostering a unified approach within the sector, the FSA continues to promote the highest standards of care and service.
