It serves individual researchers as well as genealogy societies and other organizations, offering educational resources, professional development, community connections, and opportunities to support family-history work. Through the NGS Learning Center, members and learners can access courses on family-history foundations, advanced research, genetic genealogy, historical records, and specialized topics such as African American ancestry and Revolutionary War research. NGS also publishes books, the National Genealogical Society Quarterly, and NGS Magazine, alongside free guides, charts, articles, and research tips. Its family papers collection, book loan collection, and access to newspaper resources provide additional avenues for research. The society hosts family-history conferences and other events, and connects researchers with societies, libraries, archives, museums, and educational programs. It supports genealogy organizations through management resources, webinars, partnerships, and leadership programs. NGS also promotes records preservation and access, inclusive genealogical communities, and projects such as the Veteran Bounty Land Records Project. ## Industries - 🎸 Hobbies and Leisure - 🎸 Ancestry and Genealogy _(under Hobbies and Leisure)_ ## Links - [pinterest](https://pinterest.com/@ngsgenealogy) - [instagram](https://instagram.com/ngsgenealogy) - [facebook](https://facebook.com/ngsgenealogy) ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idWLzbBGDq/w/456/h/124/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1790377332712) - icon _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idWLzbBGDq/w/280/h/280/theme/dark/icon.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1790377332940) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Camarone | #006323 | accent | | Abbey | #595b5e | dark | | Froly | #f7817d | light | --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
