## Description

The Family Historian Zoom Group is an independent, worldwide community supporting people who use Family Historian genealogy software. It welcomes beginners and experienced users who want to build confidence, develop research skills and share knowledge in a friendly setting. The group holds regular online meetings on Zoom, with demonstrations, talks, practical help and opportunities for discussion. Meetings usually last 90 minutes and take place on alternate Tuesdays and Thursdays, with additional sessions sometimes arranged for smaller groups or specialist topics. Most sessions are recorded for members to watch later.

Alongside guidance on Family Historian’s features, the group helps members research, check and validate family history evidence. It also explores ways to record and manage information using related tools and resources, including Ancestral Sources, spreadsheets, ORA and websites. Members can access recordings, tutorials, a forum, a calendar and useful links. Prospective members may sometimes attend a session as guests by prior arrangement; those interested in joining or attending can contact the group for details.
