FIAM is a brand that was established in 1995 as a manufacturing and trading company specializing in international trade between Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Poland. Over the years, the company has undergone several organizational changes. Today, FIAM operates in the market of paper hygiene products and household chemicals under the brands Ali and Fatima.

In 1996, after acquiring know-how from Plastik company, FIAM began expanding its operations in waste collection and recycling of plastics. The company now has a dedicated division for plastic waste recycling called DZPO. Since 2000, FIAM has also expanded its presence in V4 countries through its sister branches.

Its activities in these countries mainly focus on the distribution of products to retail chains and networks as representatives of foreign companies. Starting from 2002, FIAM has included a wide range of packaging materials such as LLDPE, LDPE, and HDPE into its production program, manufactured either in Slovakia or its affiliated companies
