## Description

Asociación Cultural "BAXAURI" is a vibrant cultural organization located in the picturesque Montaña Alavesa. Since 1993, it has passionately promoted mycology through events like the “Jornada Micológica,” which culminates in a full day of mushroom foraging, classification, and gastronomic exploration. Offering a comprehensive mycological database of over 1,500 species, BAXAURI provides enthusiasts with detailed fichas that encompass scientific classifications, edibility information, habitat specifics, and culinary uses. This resource, created by dedicated amateurs rather than professionals, fosters a dynamic platform for continuous learning and discovery. Additionally, BAXAURI features a practical "Course in Introduction to Mycology," accessible directly via their website. The association is bolstered by support from the esteemed Cofradía Vasca de Gastronomía and other culinary entities, reflecting a shared commitment to the gastronomic and ecological significance of mushrooms. Recognized by the Gobierno Vasco with an award for outstanding culinary work, BAXAURI continues to inspire a deep appreciation for the diverse world of fungi among its community and beyond.
