## Description

FIDAS Renazzo is a local association affiliated with FIDAS, the Italian Federation of Blood Donor Associations. It brings together citizens who donate blood voluntarily, anonymously and without payment, and works to make blood donation an established part of community life. Its central aim is to encourage more people to donate and help maintain blood supplies so patients can receive the blood needed for treatment. The association also seeks cooperation with other organizations to strengthen its contribution to public health.

At its Renazzo location, FIDAS organizes blood collection sessions supported by doctors and nurses under the medical direction of AVIS Ferrara. Prospective donors can find guidance on how to join, the donation process and responsible donation. Before each donation, a doctor conducts a confidential interview and assesses the donor’s general health and eligibility, including blood pressure, heart rate and hemoglobin levels. The association provides information about whole blood, apheresis and bone marrow, as well as donation calendars, news and events.
