FIDM Museum | Los Angeles CA is a global resource for the study of fashion past, present, and future. Established in 1969, this museum and library collects, preserves, and interprets fashion objects and support materials with outstanding design merit. With a mission to foster student learning, public engagement, and recognition of the creative arts and entertainment industries, they provide access to their extensive collections through exhibitions, publications, and research opportunities.


The museum holds over 15,000 fashion objects dating from the eighteenth century to the present, including clothing and accessories, textiles, jewelry, film costumes, fashion magazines, photographs, and design archives. Donations and purchases support their mission, and individuals interested in contributing can contact Kevin. Leslie.
