## Description

With over 80 years of dedication to the promise of Chicago, the Field Foundation works towards addressing systemic issues in the city's most divested communities. Annually, the foundation, in collaboration with strategic funding partners such as the John D. MacArthur Foundation, distributes over $6.5 million to organizations and leaders making a difference in these communities. Noteworthy partnerships include the Leaders for a New Chicago Award, generously supported by the MacArthur Foundation, as well as the Media & Storytelling grantmaking. The Field Foundation acknowledges the importance of equity, connection, and inclusivity in the local media ecosystem. They have received generous contributions from the Democracy Fund, the Chicago Community Trust, and the Ford Foundation, further strengthening their work in Media & Storytelling. With a focus on measuring their impact, the Field Foundation's leadership, board, and staff remain committed to achieving community empowerment through Art, Justice, Media, and Storytelling, while centering racial equity.
