## Description

Fife Family History Society is a volunteer-led Scottish charity founded in 1989 to bring together people researching ancestors and local history in Fife. Its members come from the surrounding area, elsewhere in the UK and around the world. The society encourages members to share knowledge and experience, and offers talks from September to April, visits to libraries and places of interest, and opportunities to connect with fellow researchers.

Members receive the society’s journal, published three times a year, and can access online resources including journal and record archives, a death index, photographs and a discussion forum. The society also provides access to its family history archives at Cupar Library, where visitors can use the research room or arrange an appointment with a volunteer.

Fife Family History Society publishes and sells research materials through its online shop, including books, digital downloads, CDs and maps, covering subjects such as local communities, inscriptions, railways and historical records.
