## Description

FIfF e.V. (Forum InformatikerInnen für Frieden und gesellschaftliche Verantwortung) is a collective of critically engaged professionals in the field of information technology from both academia and industry. Founded over 30 years ago, FIfF emerged from the need to challenge the silence surrounding the role of technology in warfare. Committed to using information technology for the betterment of society, FIfF advocates for a world where IT serves to promote peace, warns against harmful developments in the field, and fights against the misuse of technology for surveillance and control.

With a membership of around 700 passionate individuals, FIfF is dedicated to fostering discussions on the societal impact of technology and creating a platform for critical engagement. Through publications, events, and collaborations, FIfF actively works towards promoting ethical and sustainable practices in the realm of information technology. Join us in shaping a more equitable and humane digital future.
