## Description

Filà Llana is a long-established association in Alcoy, Spain, participating in the city’s traditional Moors and Christians festivities in honour of Saint George. Founded in the late eighteenth century, it is also known as “Primera de la Lana.” Its distinctive costume, whose colours have remained consistent, includes yellow trousers, a dark blue embroidered jacket, a red waistcoat, a white turban and a green sash. The group has a notable place in local festival history: it held its first Moorish captaincy in 1805 and was among the first to bring music bands into the celebrations. Its musical heritage includes pieces composed specifically for the filà, and the Unión Musical de Alcoy accompanies it during festivities. The official website shares the group’s history, news and contact details, and provides a private members’ area. Filà Llana also offers restaurant reservations, including bookings for its events through the members’ zone, and publishes menus during the year. Visitors can access its mobile application for Android or Apple devices.
