## Description

Edition Filidor is a Swiss publisher specializing in climbing guidebooks, created by its team since 1986 for beginners and experienced climbers. Its guides cover recreational, sport, alpine and extreme climbing in Switzerland and nearby regions, organizing routes by area and difficulty. The extensive Schweiz plaisir series includes Jura, western, eastern and southern Switzerland, with two western and two southern volumes. The Schweiz extrem collection likewise covers Jura, western and eastern Switzerland, and the south. Together, these guidebooks feature climbing areas and destinations across the country and into neighboring parts of Europe. Filidor’s wider catalogue includes individual climbing guides, such as titles for Wiwanni, Salbit and Biel–Bienne bouldering, as well as books and educational brochures on alpine topics. These include ice and mixed climbing, alpine environments, climbing technique and tactics, avalanche risk management, and high-altitude tours. The publisher also offers alpine guidebooks, historical archives and older editions of its climbing titles.
