The Food is Medicine Coalition is an association of nonprofit, medically-tailored food and nutrition service providers. Our purpose is to deliver evidence-informed, medical food and nutrition interventions to critically and chronically ill individuals in their communities. We strive to advance public policy that supports access to food and nutrition services for those with severe and/or chronic illnesses.

At the heart of our work is promoting research on the efficacy of these services on health outcomes and cost of care. We also share best practices in providing medically tailored meals and nutrition education and counseling. Our policy firmly believes that nutrition is integral to people's well-being and the management of diseases.
