Description
Finance Norway, also known as Finans Norge, is the leading trade and employers' association for the financial industry in Norway. With a membership of 260 financial companies and 50,000 employees, we are associated with Norway's largest employers' organization, the NHO (The Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise). As a non-profit and non-political organization, Finance Norway advocates for the industry's views and interests towards various groups in Norwegian society, including politicians, government, consumer authorities, international collaborators, decision makers, and consumers.
We organize and represent primarily banks, insurance companies, pension companies, debt collection companies, and fintechs. We play a vital role in collective agreements, representing the industry and employers' interests in the annual central tariff negotiations. Additionally, Finance Norway performs tasks central to society and the financial industry through institutions such as Finance Norway Insurance services, Bits (the banking and finance industry's infrastructure company), NoRe (administrator of financial benchmarks), FinAut (the finance industry's authorization schemes), Norsk Gjeldsinformasjon AS (consumer credit portal), and Nordic Financial Cert (the financial industry's protection against cyber attacks).
Established in 2010 and constantly evolving, Finance Norway represents the entire financial industry in Norway, providing a platform for collaboration, industry advocacy, and growth
