## Description

Findon Swimming Pool is a unique facility that was built by village residents in 1966, making it a pool that belongs to the community. The pool is managed by a committee of dedicated volunteers who handle various responsibilities, including maintaining water quality, ensuring proper maintenance, scheduling first-aid-trained supervisors, managing memberships, arranging pool hire, promoting the pool, and organizing fundraising activities. New volunteers and committee members are always welcome, with training available to those interested. The pool operates from May to September, depending on the weather and supervisor availability. Timings are regularly updated on their Facebook page and need to be booked in advance. Additionally, the pool can be privately hired when it is not open to the public. Findon Swimming Pool is known for its strong sense of community and its commitment to serving the local residents.
