## Description

FinFex is a South African financial technology company building WhatsApp-based cash-flow tools for informal traders. Its flagship service, The Pulse, is designed to help merchants understand what they can safely spend today and anticipate cash shortfalls before month-end. Traders send a short daily message or voice note with details such as sales and stock costs, then receive a Safe-to-Spend figure each morning. The service requires no app download, spreadsheets, or accounting knowledge, making it accessible to people already familiar with WhatsApp.

The Pulse also aims to provide a 14-day view of cash flow and show how accurate its forecasts have been. Traders who maintain a healthy Pulse for 90 days can earn a Pulse Verified seal, intended as recognition of financial discipline. FinFex is developing related services for business partners, including wholesalers, lenders, telecommunications companies, and advisors, offering forward-looking insights into merchant demand and liquidity. The company describes its approach as focused on simplicity and traders’ everyday needs.
