## Description

Finote Rehabilitation for Women with Disabilities is an Ethiopian organization founded by Yeweinshet Bezu to improve opportunities and quality of life for women and girls with disabilities. Since 2008, it has worked to promote inclusion and help participants build the skills and resources needed for greater independence. Its programs include life-skills and capacity-building workshops, education and entrepreneurship support, vocational training, and income-generating initiatives. Past projects have included leather products and jewelry-making training, business skills development with revolving-fund loans, and HIV prevention education tailored to people with disabilities.

A central service is Finote’s shelter for blind girls, including orphans and girls from families facing severe financial hardship. The shelter provides housing, food, clothing, education, basic Braille instruction, life-skills development, and support for physical adaptation. Finote also assists blind children living with their parents through financial help for daily needs, schooling, and specialized care. Working with local and international partners, the organization aims to foster an inclusive society in which women and girls with disabilities can access education, develop livelihoods, and participate more fully in their communities.
