## Description

Olympic Peninsula Fishing Innovations (OPFI) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that designs and produces adaptive devices to help people with physical limitations participate in fly-fishing and fly-tying. Its products are offered free of charge to people who could benefit, with donations from individuals and corporate sponsors helping support the organization’s work.

The Casting Partner is a wearable device designed for independent fly-fishing with one working hand or arm. It assists with tasks normally performed by the line hand, including managing fly line, tying knots, changing flies, and fighting and landing fish. The Evergreen Hand adapts a traditional vise for one-handed fly-tying. OPFI notes that using the device can provide a creative opportunity to tie flies and may help some recipients practice mobility and dexterity as part of physical therapy.

People interested in receiving a product can submit an order form. OPFI also invites feedback and ideas for product improvements, and encourages community support through donations and volunteering.
