## Description

FishCast is a Japanese sea-fishing brand focused on helping anglers assess conditions and plan responsible trips. Its iOS and Android app combines fishing forecasts, tide tables, weather and water-temperature information, fishing-spot maps, and catch records in one place. The service covers 1,778 fishing locations nationwide and provides information on 94 fish species, including target species, local terrain, and best seasons.

At each location, FishCast assigns a 0–100 forecast score by integrating seven factors: tides, atmospheric pressure, water temperature, weather, time of day, terrain, and estimated oxygen conditions. It displays how each factor contributes, aiming to make its predictions transparent rather than presenting them as guarantees. FishCast also researches and cites sources for fishing bans and access restrictions, helping users check whether a spot is open before setting out.

Anglers can use location services to find nearby points or pin a destination, save favorite spots in their browser without logging in, review conditions, and record and share catches.
