With a mission to protect marine resources and support local fishing communities, FECOP engages in various projects, including the Women's Nautical School and the innovative Operation Sailfish campaign, aimed at reducing the commercial exploitation of sailfish. The organization combines marine biology, advanced satellite data, and economic research to influence policies both locally and internationally. FECOP also offers valuable resources, including a free fishing app and comprehensive guides on responsible fishing practices, designed to educate anglers and promote awareness. They play a crucial role in the Costa Rican economy, generating over $520 million annually through sport and recreational fishing, while supporting more than 30,000 jobs in the sector. By merging community support with scientific research, FECOP aims to create a vibrant and sustainable coastal ecosystem for future generations. ## Industries - 🏈 Sports - 🏈 Fishing _(under Sports)_ - 🧪 Science and Education - 🧪 Environmental Science _(under Science and Education)_ ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idsGwnGjzl/w/165/h/87/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1761992163454) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Alizarin Crimson | #ec2027 | accent | | Cod Gray | #0e0e0e | dark | | White | #ffffff | light | ## Fonts - var(--e-global-typography-accent-font-family) — asset _(custom)_ - var(--e-global-typography-text-font-family) — asset _(custom)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
