## Description

Fish or Pass is a fishing conditions and planning service focused on the Southern California Bight. It provides a daily Bite Score and a simple Catching, Fishing, or Pass verdict to help anglers assess whether conditions may justify a trip. The service covers seven species, including bluefin, yellowfin, yellowtail, dorado, calico bass, rockfish, and marlin, across nine ports and local fishing grounds.

Its scores combine recent fishing activity, water temperature and temperature breaks, structure and depth, kelp and bait, sea conditions, and tide and current. The analysis also draws on historical fishery records, marine science, oceanography, and live satellite and buoy readings. Members can view species activity by area, confidence indicators, chart layers, and forecasts, and save their vessel and range so the map reflects reachable water and current sea conditions.

Fish or Pass offers an Angler subscription with a seven-day free trial, daily reports, chart views, and a report-card email. A higher-priced Captain plan is listed with additional features planned, including alerts and custom routing.
