## Description

Five Rings Combat Sports (FRCS) is a Houston-area grappling organization founded by Brandon Adamson and Joe Phebus. It brings wrestlers, judoka, Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioners and MMA athletes together under a shared no-gi competition format designed to reward control, action and takedowns. The brand takes its name and five-part emblem from Miyamoto Musashi’s Book of Five Rings.

FRCS organizes submission grappling super fights and publishes the rules, divisions and weight classes used in its events. Its format offers three ways to win: pin an opponent for 20 seconds, secure a submission, or finish with more points after six minutes. Takedowns, throws, escapes, sweeps and positional control contribute to scoring, while stalling is discouraged. Bouts consist of two three-minute rounds.

FRCS provides athlete registration and super-fight applications, team registration for coaches and academies, event and fight-card information, rankings, results, and live viewing and replays. The organization also invites academies to explore hosting events and offers partnership opportunities.
