The Family Justice Center of Washington County is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive services to survivors of family violence. By offering a centralized location for wrap-around services, we aim to promote safety, healing, and hope for individuals impacted by violence and abuse. Our collaborative approach brings together various agencies to deliver holistic support, breaking the cycles of violence in the community.

At our center, survivors and their children receive survivor-centered services that prioritize their autonomy, choice, healing, and hope. We value the input of our clients, shaping our services to meet their individual needs and engaging them throughout the process. We are committed to cultural responsiveness, ensuring equitable access to our services for all communities.

Through outreach and education, we aim to prevent violence and abuse before it starts. We evaluate and adjust our services based on partner, community, and survivor input, utilizing evidence-based best practices. Our approach is relationship-based, valuing the contributions of all partners and maintaining close working relationships.

Our vision is to create a community where violence and abuse no longer exist. We strive to offer survivors a place to belong, support staff, volunteers, and clients, and increase offender accountability through collaboration and evidence-based strategies. Our partners work together with communication, collaboration, cooperation, and coordination to provide seamless wrap-around services.

The Family Justice Center of Washington County was established in response to the need for accessible resources for survivors of violence and abuse. Previously, individuals had to travel around the county and often didn't know about the wide range of services available. In 2014, a collaborative effort involving stakeholders, including survivors, led to the design of our center.
