Flight Club 502 is a non-profit organization based out of Bowman Field in Louisville, KY. Our mission is to teach young students about leadership and success through realistic goal setting in aviation and Next Gen/STEM education. Established in 2015 by a group of middle and high schoolers, along with Laura Benson Jones, our organization aims to inspire other students to achieve success by incorporating aviation and STEM subjects. Flight Club 502 is owned and operated by the youth members, with professional adult supervision. To get involved, you can become a youth member or an adult volunteer. We offer three membership levels: Ground Level, Flight Level, and Adult Advisory. Ground Level membership is for youth members who are not pursuing a pilot's license, while Flight Level membership is for those who are. Adult Advisors are also welcome to become involved and mentor our youth members. Financial commitment for flight training can be a challenge, but limited needs-based scholarships are available.
