## Description

Flora Historielag is a local history association serving Florø and the wider Flora area in Kinn, Vestland, Norway. The organisation works to preserve and share the region’s history and cultural heritage, including by encouraging the protection of cultural sites in their original settings. It collects historical material such as photographs, films, audio recordings and documents, and is developing its website as a searchable resource for local-history topics and articles. The association also aims to publish at least one local-history booklet each year and supports the publication of books on general, farm and family history. Its activities include meetings, courses, excursions and other events, while members can contribute material, suggest topics and take part in the organisation’s work. Flora Historielag publishes book reviews relevant to its local-history focus and produces Floraminne, an annual publication included with membership. The website is intended as a reference resource for schools and others interested in the area’s past. Membership costs NOK 350 per year and includes Floraminne, with access to the association’s activities.
