## Description

Florauna GmbH is a Swiss consultancy specializing in habitats, biodiversity, environmental matters, agriculture and environmental education. Formerly known as GeOs, the company combines local knowledge with technical expertise to plan and support projects that benefit nature while taking land use into account. Its services include environmental and construction advice, agricultural and ecological planning, flora and fauna assessments, vegetation expertise, habitat improvements and environmental education.

Florauna works with public authorities, businesses, land managers and communities to create and connect valuable habitats. Projects include restoring wetlands and meadows, establishing ponds and other features for amphibians, planting hedges and orchards, and improving conditions for rare plants, insects and birds. The team also surveys wildlife using tools such as acoustic recorders and camera traps, helping assess species presence and inform appropriate protection measures, including during construction.

From project design through implementation and ongoing guidance, Florauna supports practical, locally grounded environmental work. Its approach aims to strengthen landscapes and wildlife while enabling continued agricultural use where possible.
