## Description

The Florida History Internet Center (FHIC), established in 1995 by M. C. Bob Leonard, a dedicated history professor at Hillsborough Community College, serves as a valuable resource for students, educators, and history enthusiasts. Originally developed to share Professor Leonard's extensive files and photographs on Florida's rich history, the FHIC has grown into a comprehensive site that provides access to a wealth of educational materials. Over the years, Leonard has not only contributed to numerous textbooks, reaching over 700,000 students in Florida, but he also continues to write non-fiction, including works about his family's history. The FHIC encourages the use of its resources, providing materials and photographs that can be credited to FHIC or M. C. Bob Leonard for other educational projects. By promoting Florida's historical narrative, the FHIC plays a crucial role in enhancing the understanding and appreciation of the state's past among a diverse audience.
