## Description

The Florida Department of Veterans' Affairs, launched in June 2022 by First Lady Casey DeSantis, is dedicated to supporting and empowering veterans, military spouses, and former law enforcement officers who still have a desire to serve their communities. Recognizing that children and families in crisis need reliable, compassionate, and skilled individuals to ensure their safety, this initiative, called Continue the Mission, collaborates with the Florida Department of Children and Families, along with other state and local partners, to actively recruit individuals for career opportunities such as child protective investigators, adult protective investigators, and case managers. To further enhance the services provided, the Department is also seeking mentors for these professionals. With the values and attributes instilled by the military and law enforcement agencies, Continue the Mission is a call to action to make a tangible difference in the lives of those in need.
