## Description

Flower City Dermatology is an independent medical and surgical dermatology practice founded in 2022 by board-certified dermatologist Dr. Kathryn Somers. Based in Rochester, New York, the practice serves patients with a focus on respectful, compassionate care and efficient access to appointments. Dr. Somers and her clinical team, including nurse practitioners and a physician assistant, evaluate and treat a wide range of skin, hair, and nail conditions. Services include acne care for adults and children over age 10, general dermatology, skin cancer screenings, dermoscopic examinations, biopsies, and some in-office skin cancer surgeries. The team also treats concerns such as eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, contact dermatitis, warts, rashes, and nail fungus. Patients may seek care for changing moles and other concerning spots, with referrals to Mohs surgeons or surgical oncology when needed. The practice offers removal of certain benign or cosmetically bothersome lesions for a cash fee and limited neurotoxin treatments. Prompt appointments with advanced practice providers are often available, sometimes the same day, and patients can use online scheduling.
