Founded in 1976 by Walter Röösli, a pioneer of paragliding in eastern Switzerland, the school has helped people learn to fly for decades. Since 2001, it has been led by Stefan Thür. Its experienced instructors teach students to become safe, responsible paraglider pilots, offering introductory days, basic training and further education. High-flight training takes place near Appenzell, with launch areas including Ebenalp, Kronberg and Hoher Kasten; lessons may also take place in Toggenburg, the Rhine Valley or Prättigau. The beginner practice slope is in Hauptwil, while the school’s workshop and theory room are in Bühler. Beyond instruction, Flugschule Alpstein offers tandem passenger flights, flying holidays and trips to destinations including Flims/Laax, northern Italy and Greece. Its services also include safety courses, advice, equipment sales, servicing and repairs, as well as used equipment. The school aims to share the enjoyment of paragliding and pass on current knowledge and developments. ## Industries - 🏈 Sports - 🏈 Extreme Sports _(under Sports)_ - ✈️ Travel and Tourism - ✈️ Transportation and Excursions _(under Travel and Tourism)_ ## Links - [facebook](https://facebook.com/flugschulealpstein) - [instagram](https://instagram.com/flugschule_alpstein) ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/id_5g4G1zw/w/329/h/100/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1793648109726) - icon _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/id_5g4G1zw/w/261/h/261/theme/dark/icon.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1793648110077) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Monza | #dd0404 | accent | | Buttered Rum | #ad7810 | dark | | Half Baked | #82c0c7 | light | ## Fonts - var(--et_global_heading_font) — asset _(custom)_ - var(--et_global_body_font) — asset _(custom)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
