## Description

Fluxer is a free, open-source chat platform from Fluxer Platform AB, designed for friends, groups, and communities. It brings together text messaging, voice and video calls, screen sharing, and community tools, with access through a web browser and official mobile app. Users can chat one to one or in groups and organized channels, sharing files and links alongside messages with Markdown, code blocks, previews, custom emoji, and stickers. Voice channels support screen sharing and cameras, while noise suppression and echo cancellation help keep calls clear.

Communities can assign roles and permissions, manage members, and review moderation activity logs. Fluxer works on its own servers, but people can also self-host it on a server they control. With self-hosting, messages, files, and accounts remain on that server. The desktop app is not yet supported for connecting to self-hosted servers, and federation between servers is in development. Fluxer is funded by Plutonium subscribers and donors rather than venture capital or outside investors, and offers downloads, documentation, support, and a public roadmap.
