## Description

APPI (Association of Paragliding Pilots and Instructors) is a Swiss non-profit international association for paragliding pilots and instructors. With members across 108 countries, it supports a worldwide community focused on safe flying and high standards in paragliding education. The organization offers an internationally recognized education system, training pathways and APPI certifications for pilots, instructors and other professionals. Its web-based platform provides e-learning, interactive educational resources, flight logging and tools for skills assessment and co-validation. APPI also helps people find schools and qualified professionals through its worldwide map and directory. For experienced pilots, it provides routes to professional development, including maintenance training and workshops in areas such as control and repair and tandem practice. Members and schools can access training schedules, safety materials, news and event-promotion resources, while an e-shop offers branded apparel and accessories. APPI is independent and receives no financial support from governments or companies. Its certifications apply within the APPI system and do not automatically confer legal authorization; pilots must follow the regulations of the country where they fly.
