The Footwear Manufacturer's Association of Nepal (FMAN) is the leading organization representing all footwear manufacturers, businesses, and cooperatives in the country's footwear industry. Established in 2057 B.S., FMAN contributes to institutional development, production, processing technology, advertisement, and marketing within the footwear sector. The Nepalese footwear industry is witnessing growth due to increasing fashion trends, rising health awareness, and improved economic status, leading to an expanding range of footwear choices for consumers. The domestic production capacity is also on the rise, with an estimated annual production of over 500 million pairs of footwear. However, despite this progress, the value chain analysis report indicates that domestic products only cover 42% of the domestic market. FMAN is actively collaborating with the Nepalese government, private sectors, social organizations, and industrialists to develop and implement effective policies to further enhance the footwear sector in Nepal. FMAN aims to encourage the use of Nepali footwear products both domestically and internationally to help balance the trade deficit and promote the overall growth of the economy.
