First Nations Financial Management Board (FMB) is a national non-profit institution that supports First Nations in building strong governance and finance practices. Established under the First Nations Fiscal Management Act (FMA), FMB provides a range of services to First Nations communities. As a non-profit organization, their services come at no cost to First Nations, and they only provide assistance when requested by their clients.

Independent of the Crown, FMB aims to put First Nations governments on an equal footing with other governments and public institutions. The FMA enables borrowing at similar rates and terms as other Canadian governments and allows for the use of various revenue streams as security for borrowing. FMB is one of three institutions created under the FMA and works to help First Nations achieve their goals by promoting good governance and finance practices.
