FN-forbundet is a brand that aims to strengthen the interest in and understanding of the United Nations (UN) and the mutual dependence and shared responsibility among nations. As a member organization independent of the UN, FN-forbundet was formed in 1970 through the merger of the Danish UN Association, Dansk Samråd for de Forenede Nationer, and Een Verden. However, its roots can be traced back to the establishment of the Foreningen til Danmarks Neutralisering in 1882 by Frederik Bajer, the Danish recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize. FN-forbundet offers various products and services to achieve its objectives, such as advocacy work both locally and nationally, providing educational resources and programs for schools, and engaging in international efforts like the Stop Sult Fonden (Stop Hunger Foundation) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
