FodboldtrøjeFredag is an annual fundraising event organized by Børnecancerfonden, a Danish organization dedicated to supporting children with cancer and their families. Held on the first Friday of March each year, FodboldtrøjeFredag brings together football fans and non-football fans alike to make a difference in the lives of children battling cancer. Every two days, a child in Denmark is diagnosed with cancer, and approximately 200 children go through long and intensive treatments annually. This not only affects their bodies but also takes a toll on their souls and their families. However, FodboldtrøjeFredag aims to harness the power of the football community to provide support during this challenging time. By simply wearing your favorite football jersey on #FodboldtrøjeFredag, you can contribute to helping these children and their families. Whether you're playing on the field, cheering from the stands, or following along from home, your involvement is crucial in gathering family, friends, colleagues, and teammates to join forces on the 1st of March, 2024, for this noble cause. Donations can be made via MobilePay, and all the funds raised go directly to Børnecancerfonden. Over the years, #FodboldtrøjeFredag has united thousands of people who have raised more than 4 million DKK since its inception in 2019.
