## Description

Folsom Street is a vibrant community organization dedicated to supporting the kink, leather, and alternative sexuality communities in an inclusive and safe environment. Rooted in a historical fight against gentrification and displacement, Folsom Street champions equity for BIPOC and LGBTQA2I+ individuals through advocacy, resources, and celebration. Their mission centers on sexual liberation and the right to pleasure as integral to broader liberation efforts.

Folsom Street hosts notable events such as the Folsom Street Fair, Up Your Alley, and Magnitude, offering exciting and consent-focused spaces for self-expression and entertainment. As a non-profit organization, it donates all net proceeds from events to nonprofits dedicated to public health, human services, and the arts. The organization emphasizes transparency, humility, and accountability, constantly evolving to meet community needs while breaking stigmas through creative solutions. By fostering connections and offering support, Folsom Street plays a crucial role in enhancing visibility and community strength for marginalized individuals.
