## Description

The Foundation for Innovation and Technology (FIT) is a Swiss organisation based in Lausanne that supports the creation and development of businesses in the canton of Vaud and across Western Switzerland. Founded in 1994, FIT provides loans and grants to entrepreneurs and early-stage start-ups developing innovative projects with the potential to make a positive difference. Its support is organised through three programmes: FIT Tech backs high-tech start-ups; FIT Digital supports digital ventures with innovative business models and strong growth potential; and FIT Impact is designed for low-tech projects with significant social or environmental benefits. Alongside financial support, FIT connects entrepreneurs with a network of alumni, contributors and partners. The foundation also highlights start-up progress through news, success stories and events, and promotes innovation linked to sustainable development. In 2025, FIT supported 61 projects, providing a total of 5.475 million Swiss francs. Its portfolio includes ventures in areas such as medical technology and healthcare data, reflecting the range of ideas it helps advance from early stages toward business growth.
