## Description

The Fondation Gan pour le Cinéma is a French film-support foundation that has backed cinematic creation for more than 35 years. Described as one of the leading private partners of French cinema, it works with filmmakers and other creators to help bring original projects to audiences. Its activities include the Aide à la Création, which recognizes and supports selected projects, and the Aide à la Diffusion, which promotes films and their circulation. The foundation also offers filmmaker support and presents Image Originelle, a program connected with its creative work. Its activities extend to festivals, including Cannes and Annecy, and it shares information about its laureates and their films, with an archive of award recipients dating back to 1987. Through news, filmed features, screenings and other events, the foundation highlights filmmakers and the progress of supported works. It also provides updates through a monthly newsletter and publishes information for press and cinema audiences. The Fondation Gan pour le Cinéma brings together recognition, support and visibility for film creation in France.
