## Description

Fondation Garches is a French public-interest foundation dedicated to research, innovation and support for people with disabilities and their caregivers. Based at Raymond-Poincaré Hospital, AP-HP, it brings together healthcare professionals, researchers and community partners to improve quality of life and access to practical solutions. The foundation has worked in this field for four decades and has supported more than 100 research projects and over 50 technology projects.

Its work spans three areas: accompaniment, training, and research and innovation. Support services include resources for caregivers, assessments of driving ability, and advice on wheelchairs and positioning through its CEFREP testing centre. The foundation also develops technology-related guidance and supports medical and technological research. Its training programs address topics such as disability-related housing adaptations, accessible transport, and multidisciplinary rehabilitation, including the annual Entretiens de Garches.

For practical information, the foundation provides online databases comparing wheelchairs and tracheostomy cannulas, along with guides, directories and informational materials. Donations help fund research, support initiatives and resources for people with disabilities and their families.
