## Description

Fondazione Biagioni Borgogni Onlus is a Florence-based nonprofit dedicated to solidarity and support for people affected by cancer. Established in memory of Rino Biagioni and Maruska Borgogni, whose lives were taken by cancer, the foundation works to uphold what it calls “the sacred pleasure of life.” Its mission is to fund scientific research in oncology and provide practical and compassionate assistance to patients and their families.

Rather than offering medical services directly, the foundation supports projects run by specialist organizations, healthcare institutions, and research partners. Its initiatives have included backing cancer research, improving care and quality of life, and providing targeted assistance through groups such as AIL Firenze, Associazione Tumori Toscana, Cure2Children, and Fondazione Umberto Veronesi. Supported projects have also contributed to equipment and resources for cancer care. The foundation shares updates on its projects and events, and invites the public to contribute through donations and Italy’s 5x1000 tax designation, which helps sustain its oncology research and assistance work without additional cost to donors.
