## Description

Fondazione Edison is an Italian foundation focused on research, analysis and public discussion of the country’s economy and its place in Europe. Its work examines economic structure, industry, innovation and the performance of key sectors, helping readers engage with Italy’s socioeconomic system through publications, events and media.

The foundation produces books and statistical handbooks, including studies on manufacturing, food and wine, tourism, agriculture and the wider Italian economy. Its publications are issued through series and partnerships that include Il Mulino and Springer. It also makes editorials from Economia Politica: Journal of Analytical and Institutional Economics available for free download, alongside statistical analyses and other research materials.

Fondazione Edison organizes conferences and supports research projects, including work on techno-scientific platforms and economic innovation. Its films and videos highlight Italian food and agricultural products, such as Piedmont hazelnuts, olive oil, Parma ham and Parmigiano Reggiano. Through this mix of research, publishing, events and educational media, the foundation aims to present evidence-based perspectives on Italy’s economic strengths, challenges and development.
