## Description

The Emanuele Gianturco Foundation is a nonprofit, nonreligious, politically independent and nonpartisan organization based in Avigliano, in Italy’s Basilicata region. Its work is rooted in a territory known for producing distinguished jurists, lawyers and magistrates, and it is named for Emanuele Gianturco. The Foundation promotes cultural initiatives that connect local history and heritage with legal, literary, educational and artistic subjects. Its program includes public conversations, book presentations, concerts, exhibitions and commemorative events, often hosted in Avigliano. Recent activities have explored Gianturco’s legacy, law and spirituality, local traditions, and the history of education. The Foundation also supports learning through the Emanuele Gianturco scholarship, announced with an award of €8,000, and contributes to recognition of legal writing through the E. Gianturco section of the Basilicata Literary Prize. Its website shares news, event information, photographs, videos and archival materials, alongside information about the Foundation’s governance and activities. Visitors can also subscribe to its newsletter for updates and announcements.
