## Description

The Fondazione di Piacenza e Vigevano is a philanthropic foundation dedicated to improving the lives of people and communities in the Province of Piacenza and the municipality of Vigevano. Since 1991, it has managed and developed its assets to support social benefit and local socioeconomic growth, guided by priorities focused on people, places and time. Its main areas of work include welfare, education, innovation and research, and the arts and cultural policy, alongside sport and wellbeing, the environment and youth engagement.

The Foundation supports local initiatives through competitive funding calls and three annual grant-making sessions, and it promotes projects and events across its communities. Its cultural and public spaces include the Piacenza and Vigevano auditoriums, XNL Piacenza, a centre for contemporary art, cinema, theatre and music, and the Antiquarium. It also supports programmes such as YouthBank and collaborates with community organizations to create opportunities and strengthen local networks.
