## Description

Fondazione Somaschi ETS is an Italian nonprofit that continues a tradition of welcoming and supporting vulnerable people inspired by Saint Jerome Emiliani and the Somaschi Fathers. Its work places people at the margins at the centre, offering practical care, safe accommodation and support towards greater independence and social inclusion.

The Foundation serves children and young people through residential communities and daytime programmes, and supports mothers and children facing hardship, abuse or housing insecurity. It assists people experiencing homelessness with welcoming spaces, showers, basic medical care and information, and provides safe services for women affected by violence or trafficking. Its programmes also include social housing and support for adults facing economic vulnerability or exploitation, as well as care for people affected by drug or alcohol use, gambling-related problems or HIV. For migrants and people seeking asylum, the Foundation provides reception and integration services designed to help individuals regain autonomy.

People can support its projects through donations, legacy gifts, the Italian five-per-thousand tax contribution, volunteering, corporate initiatives and fundraising events.
