## Description

Fondazione Tinè ETS is a nonprofit organization focused on making Siracusa greener, healthier, and more resilient. It works to strengthen urban nature and biodiversity through projects that connect environmental care with community participation. Its activities span four main areas: urban and botanical gardens, forestation and biodiversity, environmental education, and research and innovation. The foundation manages and enhances botanical gardens as living collections that support public education, scientific work, and urban regeneration. It also develops forestation and reforestation initiatives, using urban greenery to absorb carbon dioxide and create new green spaces. For schools and the wider public, it offers educational programs, workshops, and hands-on activities designed to encourage environmental awareness. In collaboration with universities and research centers, the foundation studies biodiversity and develops propagation techniques for threatened species. People can support its mission through donations, the Italian 5×1000 tax allocation, volunteering, project sponsorship, or contributions of land. Fondazione Tinè also provides free professional advice on caring for greenery in Siracusa and offers opportunities for businesses to engage with its work.
