## Description

The Fonds Solidaire Méditerranéen is a philanthropic endowment fund through which Banque Populaire Méditerranée supports local initiatives across its Mediterranean territory. Its mission is to help build a fairer, more vibrant and sustainable region by backing people and organizations working for the public good. The fund focuses on two areas: solidarity and social cohesion, and the environment and sustainable development.

Eligible nonprofit organizations, including associations, foundations and similar structures, can apply for support through the fund’s project calls. Applicants must be eligible for corporate philanthropy, have existed for at least 12 months and be based within Banque Populaire Méditerranée’s territory. Projects are assessed on their impact, local usefulness, quality, economic viability and collective, public-interest value. Selected organizations receive a grant under a sponsorship agreement, and the fund may communicate about and monitor the project’s progress.

The fund also accepts donations to finance local projects, support initiatives with social or environmental impact, and strengthen solidarity. Donors may qualify for tax reductions under applicable philanthropy rules.
